Kiva Dickinson

FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

As Managing Partner, Kiva leads deal sourcing, execution and portfolio management efforts for Selva Ventures. He is primarily focused on Food, Beverage, VMS and Pet. He is a Board Member for Grüns, FoodNerd, Surely and Clevr, and is a Board Observer for OneSkin, Native Pet and Javvy. Prior to founding Selva Ventures Kiva was a Partner at CircleUp, where he joined during the launch of the Company’s first discretionary equity fund CircleUp Growth Partners. While at CircleUp Kiva led Series B investments in Nutpods (subsequently acquired by MPearlRock) and Liquid I.V. (subsequently acquired by Unilever), working closely with both companies following investment. Prior to CircleUp, Kiva was a private equity investor in San Francisco at TPG Capital. There, he focused on a combination of consumer and digital media companies. Kiva was involved in TPG’s Series B investments in Lynda.com (subsequently acquired by LinkedIn) and Ipsy. Prior to TPG, Kiva began his career in Los Angeles at Barclays in consumer-focused investment banking.

Madeline joined Selva Ventures in March 2022 and was promoted to Partner in September 2024. She leads deal sourcing, execution efforts and portfolio management and is primarily focused on Beauty, Personal Care and Longevity. Madeline currently serves as a Board Member for Minu and Board Observer for OneSkin, Crown Affair, and Perelel. Prior to joining Selva Ventures, Madeline was a Principal at Smash Capital and the first investment team hire. While at Smash, Madeline was involved in deal sourcing, diligence, portfolio management, fundraising and operations.  Prior to Smash, Madeline started her career an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs where she focused on consumer, healthcare and media. Madeline has an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College. She was co-captain of the Harvard softball team where she led the team to an Ivy League Championship in her senior year.

As an Operating Partner at Selva Ventures, Doug helps portfolio brands build and execute retail strategies that drive sustainable growth. He brings nearly two decades of experience across sales, strategy, insights, and operations, and works closely with founders and teams to develop retail roadmaps, price pack architecture, and launch strategies that unlock long-term value. Doug is also the co-founder of The Retail Navigator, a retail advisory firm purpose-built to help early-stage CPG brands scale in brick-and-mortar. Prior to founding The Retail Navigator, Doug served as Vice President of Retail at Harry’s, where he led the cross-functional retail team across Harry’s and Flamingo, overseeing a $500M+ retail business and driving omnichannel growth across the United States and Canada. He has also held multiple leadership roles across the CPG ecosystem, including Chief Revenue Officer at retail tech startup InContext Solutions and senior sales strategy roles at Coca-Cola, where he led Walmart/Sam’s team strategy, capabilities, and insights. Doug began his CPG career at Procter & Gamble, spending eight years in shopper and consumer insights roles. Before transitioning into the private sector, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, deploying twice to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Doug holds a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.A. from the University of Maryland.

She brings deep expertise in executive coaching, leadership development, and team performance, drawing on her background as a former Chief of Staff and Head of Learning and Development. In addition to her work with Selva, Rachel is the founder and CEO of Metronome, a leadership development consulting firm that believes professional growth should be research-driven, action-oriented, and genuinely fun. Prior to launching Metronome, Rachel spent a decade at Harry’s, joining when the company had just 15 employees and helping it scale to more than 1,000 globally. While there, she led initiatives in learning and development, talent strategy, and organizational culture. She has coached executives and teams across industries, blending strategic insight with a practical, people-first approach. Rachel holds a B.A. from Barnard College of Columbia University and an Advanced Personal and Executive Coach certification from the College of Executive Coaching. She is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation.

As an Operating Partner at Selva Ventures, Matt advises portfolio brands on all aspects of supply chain and manufacturing across both vertically integrated and contracted models. His work spans end-to-end support in demand and supply planning, sourcing, distribution and fulfillment, logistics, and quality. With experience building and scaling supply chains for businesses ranging from DTC-only to multi-channel, multi-brand, and multi-geography, Matt helps portfolio companies assess where they are in their journey and strengthen the people, processes, and capabilities required to deliver on their roadmap. Matt is currently the Vice President of Supply Chain at Mammoth Brands, where he has spent the past decade leading the supply chain for a growing portfolio of consumer brands. Before joining Harry’s in 2015, he was a Global Sourcing Manager at Apple, overseeing supplier relationships and driving procurement strategies for the company’s hardware operations. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant in IBM’s Supply Chain practice, advising clients on operational efficiency and strategic sourcing. Based in New York, Matt brings 15 years of supply chain leadership, combining technical depth with a passion for building resilient, scalable operations. He holds a B.B.A. from George Washington University and enjoys making use of his private pilot’s license in his spare time.
